Gold rates surge by Rs3,500 per tola

Metal prices dip ahead of US inflation data release

February 01, 2023 (MLN): The price of 24-karat gold in the domestic bullion market rose by Rs3,500 per tola to reach Rs205,000 per tola on Wednesday, according to data from the Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs3,000 and was traded at Rs175,754, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold was recorded at Rs161,108.

Meanwhile, the price of 24-karat tola and 10-gram silver was recorded at Rs2,250 and Rs1,929, respectively, according to the Association.

In the international market, the price of gold increased by $27 and was traded at $1,929, while the silver rate stood at $23.54.
