Gold price jumps to Rs 112,300 per tola

December 17, 2020 (MLN): Safe-haven asset extended gains on Thursday in the domestic bullion market. The price of 24 karat gold rose by Rs 550 to Rs 112,300 against the price of Rs 111,750 per tola reported yesterday.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also grew by Rs 472 to Rs 96,280 against the price of Rs 95,808 reported in the previous session.

Likewise, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver witnessed an increase of Rs 20 and Rs 17.15 to stand at Rs 1,270 and Rs 1,071.67 respectively, the association reported.

In the international market, a sharp sell-off in US dollar due to progress on a US fiscal stimulus deal bolstered yellow metal, adding a declining trend of US treasury yields strengthened the bullish run for gold.
