Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs3,000 per tola

April 09, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs321,000 per tola, up Rs3,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs275,205 after a gain of Rs2,572, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs252,280 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,170 per tola and Rs2,717 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,045 an ounce, up $66.2 or 2.22% from the previous session.

Gold prices firmed on Wednesday as traders sought the safe-haven asset after U.S. President Donald Trump's "reciprocal" tariffs came into effect, while a weaker dollar and the rising prospect of U.S. rate cuts lent support.
