Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs2,900 per tola

January 15, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs280,800 per tola, up Rs2,900.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs240,741 after a gain of Rs2,487, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs220,679 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,686 an ounce, up $11.4 or 0.43% from the previous session.

Gold prices firmed on Wednesday as the U.S. dollar and Treasury yields retreated, while market participants awaited U.S. inflation data for clues on the Federal Reserve's interest rate strategy.
