December 26, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs274,000 per tola, up Rs1,400.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs234,911 after a gain of Rs1,200, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs215,335 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,628 an ounce, up $10.4 or 0.40% from the previous session.

Gold prices rose on Thursday in holiday-thinned trade, while markets await clues on the Federal Reserve's 2025 rate plan and tariff policies from the incoming Trump administration.
