Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs2,000 per tola

March 21, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs318,800 per tola, down Rs2,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs273,319 after a decline of Rs1,715, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs250,551 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,475 per tola (-Rs49) and Rs2,979 per 10-gram (-Rs42).

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,011 an ounce, down $34.9 or 1.14% from the previous session.

Gold fell over 1% on Friday due to a stronger dollar and profit-taking, although lingering geopolitical and economic uncertainties, and U.S. Federal Reserve rate cut prospects kept bullion on track for a third consecutive weekly rise.
