Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs1,900 per tola

May 22, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs347,500 per tola, down Rs1,900.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs297,925 after a decline of Rs1,629, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs273,107 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,428 per tola (-Rs38) and Rs2,938 per 10-gram (-Rs33).

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,298 an ounce, down $21.5 or 0.65% from the previous session.

Gold slipped on Thursday after hitting a nearly two-week high earlier in the session, hurt by an uptick in the dollar, although worries over the U.S. government's increasing debt burden and fiscal outlook kept prices above $3,300 level.
