Gold inches up by Rs500 to close at Rs108,500

July 1, 2021(MLN): The price of gold witnessed an increase of Rs500 today in the domestic bullion market, as the price of 24 karat gold stood at Rs108,500 per tola against its previous sale at Rs109,000 per tola.

As per the data provided by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also inched up by Rs429 and was sold for Rs93,021 at the closing of trade while the price of 10gm 22k gold valued at Rs85,270.

With regards to white metal, the price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,410 and Rs1,208.84, respectively.

Internationally, the yellow metal appealed the investors’ attention by $18 to trade at $1,776 mainly due to the worrisome situation over the spread of the Delta variant of Covid-19, while investors kept waiting for the US labor market data to gauge monetary policy. Silver was valued at $26.25.
