Gold extends gains, settles at Rs124,000 per tola

December 3, 2021 (MLN): Gold rates on Friday extended gains for the third straight session as the 24-karat gold was sold at Rs124,000, showing an uptick of Rs350 per tola, according to data provided by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association today.

The price of 10-gram of 24k gold also edged higher by Rs300 and was traded at Rs106,310 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs97,451.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram of 24-karat silver remained unchanged at Rs1,460 and Rs1,251.71 respectively.

Meanwhile, the gold prices in the international market fell slightly as the per ounce gold traded at $1,773, on the back of higher US dollar alongside front-end Treasury yields.
