Gold drops by Rs 200 to Rs 95,000 per tola

March 10, 2020 (MLN): After last session’s jump, gold price fell by Rs 200 today and settled at Rs 95,000 per tola as demand for safe-haven dropped due to rally in equity markets. The yellow metal had closed at Rs 95,200 per tola on last trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold lost Rs 171 to settle at Rs 81,447.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained flat and closed at Rs 1000 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver remained stable at Rs 857.33.

In the global market, gold prices edged lower by $9 to $1,657 per ounce, while silver was valued at $17.10 per ounce.
