Global Markets await Xi Jingping keynote speech at Boao Forum on PST 06:30 AM

President of China, Mr. Xi Jinping, will make a keynote speech at Boao, Hainan Province, China tomorrow at 06:30 am PST (09:30 am local Hainan time) in the morning as investors around the world await his comments on the US – China trade war.

China and US have locked horns in a trade war which like all Donald Trump policy decisions has become extremely unpredictable. President Xi will address the gathering of delegates and attendants who are in China to attend the Forum.

Investors will be keeping a close eye on comments Tuesday by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Boao Forum — dubbed the Asian Davos — to seek some semblance of clarity and way forward.

Meanwhile, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang has hinted that given the recent overtures by US President; talks have become impossible under current conditions.

Furthermore, after Xi Jinping’s address, Prime Ministers, Presidents, Managing Director International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Secretary General United Nations will also deliver speeches.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is also reported to make a speech at the third day of the Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi has requested the Chinese President to help Pakistan with the declining FX reserves that have continued to fall despite numerous efforts by Government.

In addition to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi, other dignitaries who are expected to make the speech after President Xi’s keynote address include Austrian President, Mr. Alexander Ven der Bellen, Philippine President Mr. Rodrigo Duterte, Mongolian President Mr. Ukhnaagiin, Dutch Prime Minister Mr. Mart Rutte, PM Singapore Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Managing Director International Monetary Fund (IMF) Ms. Christina Legarde.
