Finance Ministry issues clarification regarding arrangement of Rs200 mln to curb circular debt

September 26, 2019 (MLN): The Ministry of Finance is considering various options to complete transactions pertaining to issuance of Rs. 200 billion sukkuks as soon as possible.

Taking to social media on Thursday, the ministry informed that Government is issuing sukuk bonds to bring down the circular debt of the country.

It also notified that negotiations are going on with banks regarding the aforementioned matter.

The Ministry further said that the matter was discussed with the IMF team during its recent visit.

Finally, it expressed hope that the matter shall be resolved very soon.
