Finance Minister urges to boost Jewellery exports

December 29, 2021 (MLN): The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Shaukat Tarin stressed the Jewellers Association to enhance the export of Jewellery while meeting with a delegation of the Jewellers Association on Tuesday.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan’s exports of Jewellery dropped by 1.6% YoY worth $4.17mn during July-Nov 2021, compared to $4.2mn in the corresponding period last year.

He also issued orders for resolution of the problems indicated by the delegation to enable the Jewellery industry to play its due role in the growth of the national economy.

Finance Minister highlighted the importance of jewellery sector in the economy of the country and stated that Government is mindful of the jobs being created by this sector besides contributing to the GDP.
