Federal Cabinet to discuss six working days for government offices today

The Federal Cabinet of the government of Pakistan is set to meet today, Friday, August 24, 2018 under the Chairmanship of the new Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Cabinet, among, other things, would discuss the shift to six to working days in a week for all government offices in the country.

The meeting would include representatives from the Finance Division, Cabinet Division, Power Division, the Climate Change Division, the Establishment Division, and the Inter Provincial Coordination Division.

Among the matters on the agenda, a presentation would be given by the Power Division on the situation of Load Shedding in the country.

A discussion would also be held with the Finance Division for the abolition of Discretionary Funds, along with discussion regarding a special audit of the mass transport systems in the country.

The Cabinet is also going to discuss the launch of a major cleanliness drive in the country with the Inter Provincial Coordination Division, as well as a massive tree plantation program in the country with the Climate Change Division.
