Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has updated its previously launched application Iris-ADX, in order to enable taxpayers to prepare Income Tax Return and Wealth Statement without using internet to resolve the connectivity issues often faced by the tax payers.

The updated version of Iris-ADX has been launched today, i.e. Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

Iris-ADX (Asynchronous Data eXchange) was initially launched in January 2018, to allow taxpayers/E-intermediary to prepare data related to Sales Tax return including sales invoices, debit/credit notes and sales tax withholding documents in offline mode.

The application was expected to especially facilitate large tax payers including DISCO, MNCs etc. and indirectly benefit the buyers who require input adjustment on purchases from large taxpayers, thus enhancing the efficiency of the whole supply chain.

The update comes about as the IT wing of FBR intended to enhance the application to allow offline preparation of all declarations including Income Tax Returns/Statements.
