October 16, 2024 (MLN): Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) and Fatima Fertilizers have entered into a strategic partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that aims to revolutionize the agricultural sector of Pakistan.

The agreement reflects the visionary leadership of ZTBL president, Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti, whose tireless efforts are transforming ZTBL into the premier agricultural bank in the country.

The MoU was signed at ZTBL's head office by key representatives from both organizations.

Under this agreement, ZTBL and Fatima Fertilizers will ensure that Pakistani farmers can access fresh, high-quality fertilizers at controlled rates.

Additionally, ZTBL will offer advisory services through its zarai baithak programs, providing valuable insights to farmers across the country.

Fatima will also refer new customers to ZTBL, expanding the bank's reach and support to rural farming communities as per banks approved criteria.

As a key component of the partnership, Fatima will open a dedicated bank account with ZTBL, allowing farmers to deposit payments at any ZTBL branch when purchasing fertilizers. this streamlined payment process aims to simplify access to essential agricultural resources.

"This MoU represents a milestone in our efforts to empower Pakistan's subsistence farmers," said the ZTBL president.

"By working closely with Fatima Fertilizers, we are not only providing high-quality fertilizers at fair prices but also equipping farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance their productivity and livelihood," he added.

ZTBL is committed to driving sustainable growth in Pakistan's agricultural sector through this collaboration, which will have a lasting impact on the country's rural communities.
