EPCL on track to meet deadlines on PVC expansion project

January 14, 2019 (MLN): Engro Polymer & Chemical Company Limited has formally notified the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regarding the updates of the company’s PVC expansion /VCM debottlenecking project up until 31st December 2018.

According to the notification, a kick off meeting for PVC 3 & Utilities Plant was conducted with EPC contractor in China and the Letter of Credit in favor of the Contractor has been established.

In addition to that, Hazop study for PVC 3 plant and utilities plant was conducted and the detailed engineering is now in progress.

The notification further adds that the EIA approval from SEPA has been received and installation of new EDC pipeline from EPCL plant to the terminal has been initiated.

Meanwhile the civil works for new EDC Tank have been completed and tank erection has commenced.

And finally, the procurement of equipment for VCM debottlenecking has also been initiated.

Overall Company is on track to meet the announced completion timelines.
