ECC set to approve MRPs for new Cardiac Stents

May 08, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held today at 1800 hours, will likely approve Maximum Retail Prices (MRPs) of 04 new Cardiac Stents.

This was recommended by National Price Fixation Committee for Life Saving Medical Devices in its 7th meeting held on 21" February 2023.

The meeting is also expected to approve the Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) to Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (PMRCL) equivalent to $50 million to be obtained from the Work Bank as 1 tranche of a credit line of $85mn.

Request for additional funds to meet the shortfall in the annual budget for the financial year 2022-23 will also be considered.

The house will also grant Rs5bn in favor of the Ministry of Housing & Works.

Application for grant of an additional area of 15.88 Km in Soghri Exploration Licence will also be discussed.

Request for Extended Well Testing (EWT) over Qabul-2 St-1 discovery in Khipro Exploration License (E.L) will be considered.
