ECC okays import of used tractors under Kissan Package

January 18, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet Tuesday allowed the import of up to 5-year-old tractors under Kissan package 2022, the statement issued by Finance Division showed on Tuesday.

The summary was tabled by the Ministry of Commerce stating the import of agricultural tractors under the Kissan package 2022 and proposed amendments in Import Policy Order 2022 to reduce the cost of tractors.

Regarding ‘Duty Reduction’ for the import of secondhand tractors, the ECC allowed depreciation in value at 2% per month up to a maximum of 60% as already provided under CGO no. 14 of 2005.

The meeting was chaired by the federal minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
