ECC may approve PPA of three RLNG fired power plants

January 11, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet in its meeting which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, is likely to approve change in take-or-pay commitment in Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of three Regassified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) fired power plants.

The meeting will also discuss the placement of firm gas commitment.

The committee will also review the request for price of imported urea submitted by Ministry of Industries and Production (MoI&P).

Furthermore, Committee will also review the Pakistan Railways Optic Fibre Cable Right of Way (ROW) policy, and provision of funds to HEC to release mark-up amount to Bank of Khyber.

Also, technical supplementary grant amount to Rs500 million in favour of Ministry of Housing and Works (MoHEW).

The meeting will be chaired by the federal minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar.
