ECC fixes MRPs of Cardiac Stents

May 09, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Monday fixed the Maximum Retail Prices (MRPs) of four new Cardiac Stents, said a press release issued by the Finance Division. 

The summary was tabled by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination recommended by the National Price Fixation Committee for Life-Saving medical devices.

During the meeting, the ECC granted the additional (free) area of 15.88 Sq Kms in Soghri Exploration License on the basis that a geological structure which is extending into the free area in the Northern part of Soghri E.L.

The committee also granted 6 months of Extended Well Testing over Qabul-2 St-1 discovery in Khipro Exploration License w.e.f 22-02-2023.

The ECC also considered and approved the Technical Supplementary Grants (TSGs) in favor of Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (PMRCL) worth Rs13.2bn or $50mn to be obtained from the World Bank as 1st Tranche of Credit Line of $85mn.

The committee also granted rupee cover of Rs7.84bn against an amount of $33.1mn for the World Bank-funded Financial Inclusion and Infrastructure Project (FIIP).

The ECC noted the presentation given by the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) on its mandate and performance since its formation and directed it to review its model and submit a summary of its future needs.
