Car sales rise 35% in December 2025

January 12, 2026 (MLN): The sales of cars, including LCVs, vans, and jeeps, in Pakistan increased by 35.2% in December 2025, reaching 13,280 units compared to 9,820 units recorded in the same month last year, the latest data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed today.
Conversely, on a month-on-month basis, auto sales decreased by 14.0% compared to 15,442 units sold in November 2025.
Cumulatively, in 6MFY26, sales clocked in at 88,322 units, around 45.5% higher compared to 60,676 units sold in 6MFY25.

For the six-month period from July to December 2025,
cumulative production stood at 928,521 units compared to 698,446 units during
the same period last year, representing a substantial year-over-year increase
of approximately 32.9%.
Toyota maintained its position in the 1300cc and above
category, producing 1,959 units of its Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross
models, with sales of 2,116 units in December 2025.
Honda produced 2,129 units of its City and Civic models
in December, with sales of 1,739 units, showing a slight decline from the
previous month.
Suzuki continued its performance across multiple
segments. The company produced 1,331 units of the Swift with sales of 1,009
units. In the below-1000cc segment, Suzuki Alto production reached 4,388 units
with sales of 3,863 units for December.
The SUV and pickup segment showed steady activity, with
total production of 2,215 units and sales of 2,609 units in December.
Honda's BR-V and HR-V models maintained their presence
with production of 180 units and sales of 204 units, while other crossover
segments continued to contribute to the market.
The trucks and buses segment produced 626 units in
December with sales of 372 units. Leading manufacturers in this category
include Hino, Isuzu, Master, and JAC, catering to the logistics and
transportation sectors.
The farm tractor segment showed robust performance with
December production of 3,506 units and sales of 3,399 units, reflecting strong
demand from the agricultural sector.
For the July-December period, total tractor production reached 13,366 units with sales of 12,929 units.
