Disbursement against Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Financing reaches Rs53.1bn

March 24, 2022 (MLN): Total disbursement against Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar (MPMG) financing has reached Rs53.1 billion during Dec’20 to Feb’22, data issued by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed today.

During the month of Feb’22 alone, applications request increased by Rs33.9 billion. The approved amount increased by Rs17.8 billion while the disbursement has also risen by Rs9.3 billion which was the highest monthly disbursement since Dec’20.

As per the data, under the low-cost housing Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar (MPMG) scheme, the commercial banks have received applications of more than Rs338 billion by end of February 2022. The banks have approved financing of Rs148.45 billion out of which Rs53 billion have already been disbursed.

The data also shows that housing and construction loan disbursement by banks has reached Rs366.9 billion by the end of December 2021, which was Rs192 billion at the end of December 2020, showing an increase of 91% year-on-year growth.
