DGKC issues clarification regarding its plan to expand production capacity

January 27, 2020 (MLN): Dera Ghazi Khan Cement (DGKC) on Wednesday issued a clarification regarding an article published by Mettis Global, which stated that the company has revived a plan to expand its capacity to tap growth as the nation recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a letter addressed to the PSX, the company said: “We have already informed to your Exchange that the Board has allowed the company to obtain applicable regulatory permissions from Government authorities for setting up brownfield cement production line No. 3 at its site Khofli Sattai Dera Ghazi Khan”.

The company assured that any material information in this regard will be disseminated strictly in accordance with the applicable requirements.
