Defence residents to face power outage on Feb 2 from 9 am to 6 pm

February 01, 2024 (MLN): The residents of Defense, Karachi will face a power outage tomorrow as K-Electric will be undertaking a critical maintenance activity at Defence Grid on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm. 

This is to ensure the stability and reliability of the power supply to consumers residing in these areas, according to the press release issued by KE today. 

The activity requires a shutdown from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM for the Defence Grid during which there may be temporary interruption of supply in areas connected to the above-mentioned Grid, it added.

Interruptions in power supply due to maintenance and technical faults should not be equated with load shedding.
