Dar reiterates foreign assistance to support flood victims

January 09, 2023 (MLN): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on 1st Plenary Session of International Conference on 'Climate Resilient Pakistan' in Geneva stressed upon Pakistan’s highest priority to recovery and rehabilitation of the flood affected people.

According to Ishaq Dar, the support from friendly countries will not only help with flood relief but also create fiscal space in Pakistan to implement the ongoing International Monetary Fund program.

Moreoever, he expressed his gratitude to the international community, especially Secretary General UN Mr. António Guterres for unwavering support to Pakistan during this difficult time.

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fulfill its international obligations.
