CPEC Media Forum meeting held in Islamabad

Third CPEC Media Forum began in Islamabad on Monday to promote information and cultural collaboration by bringing closer the media of two countries. 

Addressing the inaugural session of the Forum, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on CPEC Senator Mushahid Husain Syed said people to people contact and cooperation between the media industries is significant to get maximum benefit from CPEC.

He said development endeavors are antidotes to extremism and terrorism and highlighting these projects through media helps in achieving the ultimate objectives of these projects.

Mushahid Husain Syed said CPEC is a vote of confidence by China in the future of Pakistan spurring development and prosperity in very part of it.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Abdul Qayyum said CPEC is not only a project but an economic concept.

Addressing the occasion, Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing said CPEC media forum is the higher level of our collaboration and partnership and it demands much responsibility for its successful culmination.

The ambassador emphasized for extending the cooperation between China and Pakistan to the whole region as CPEC is an initiative for better connectivity and peaceful neighborhood
