Cotton crops terminated in Southern Sindh Harvesting reaches its peak in Punjab

According to the Pakistan Central Cotton Committee data, cotton picking has been terminated in Southern districts of Sindh. Whereas the situation is different in upper Sindh and are continuing to harvest third and fourth picking.

In Punjab, harvesting has been ongoing in full swing especially in Multan, Lodhran, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur areas as wheat sowing time gets closer.

Pest infestation and pink boll worms are being dealt with Chemical products; however no significant losses have been reported as such.

Prices of seed cotton increased from 2700-3300 to 2800-3400 per 40 kilograms.
