Cotton arrivals reach 7.37m bales as of November 15

November 18, 2023 (MLN): Cotton arrivals in Pakistan have reached 7.37 million bales as of November 15, 2023, data released by the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) showed.

This reflects a 50.41% increase on a yearly basis compared to the arrival of 4.9m bales in the Same Period Last Year (SPLY).

In comparison to the data for October 31, in which the total arrivals were 6.791m bales, cotton arrivals increased by 8.53%.

To note, textile mills bought around 6.322m bales during the review period.

Pakistan is among the top ten cotton-producing countries in the world, and cotton and textile products are among the country’s major exports.
