January 08, 2025 (MLN): A high-level delegation from China’s Yunnan Sunny Road & Bridge Co., Ltd. visited Pakistan to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.

The delegation, led by Chairman Xub Jiazheng and accompanied by Directors Lipin and Jackey Chen, met with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, as per the press release issued.

During the meeting, both countries discussed potential investment opportunities in Pakistan's maritime sector..

The Federal Minister reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and economic partnership between Pakistan and China.

He acknowledged China’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s development, emphasizing the transformational impact of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on infrastructure, energy, and industrial cooperation.

He further stressed the importance of expanding this collaboration to the maritime sector, which holds immense potential for mutual growth.

Both sides underscored the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and China, built on trust, mutual respect, and shared goals.

The delegation expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s hospitality and reiterated China’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s economic progress and regional stability.

The Chinese company, known for its innovative pavement technology, has received praise for its contributions to national infrastructure projects in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan commended the company for its successful rehabilitation of roads under the National Highway Authority (NHA).

During the meeting, the Minister praised the company’s strong reputation.

He highlighted the positive experiences Pakistan has had working with Chinese companies in various sectors, particularly the maritime industry.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing optimism about future collaborations aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

They emphasized enhancing trade and investment while fostering economic growth for the mutual benefit of both countries.
