Cherat Packaging commissions fourth line of Polypropylene cement bag plant

February 03, 2022 (MLN): Cherat Packaging Limited (CPPL) has successfully installed and commissioned its fourth line of Polypropylene Plant for producing cement bags, the company’s filing on the bourse showed today.

The fourth line of Polypropylene cement bag manufacturing plant has again been acquired from leading European supplier Windmoller & Holscher. With this expansion, the production capacity of the company has increased from 195 million to 260 million Polypropylene bags per annum. The plant has been commissioned at the existing factory site of the company in Gadoon Amazai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

With the enhancement of the production capacity of the Polypropylene plant, the company is confident of continuing to remain the market leader in both Polypropylene and Paper for cement packaging.

Additionally, by virtue of this expansion, the company will be able to better allocate its fixed costs and capitalize on its strong relationship with the existing customer base.
