BRRG receives Shariah Compliance Certificate from SECP

June 03, 2025 (MLN): BRR Guardian Limited (PSX: BRRG) has been issued a Shariah Compliance Certificate by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

The SECP has imposed certain conditions on BRRG, including compliance with the Companies Act, 2017, and the Regulations, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

Additionally, BRRG must adhere to any directives, circulars, codes, notifications, and guidelines issued or to be issued by the Commission and its Shariah supervisory board or the Shariah Advisor.

BRRG is required to submit an annual Shariah review report, or such other reports as specified in the applicable laws.

Moreover, the certificate will remain valid unless voluntarily surrendered by the company or suspended or cancelled by the Commission.

The company shall amend its Memorandum of Association at the earliest to include in its object clause that it will act in accordance with Shariah rules and principles.

Additionally, BRRG shall put in place the necessary Shariah Governance Framework to ensure continued Shariah compliance.

The company shall also endeavour to adopt the Islamic Financial Accounting Standards for true and fair representation of accounts.
