BML files settlement request for non-performing loans

January 22, 2025 (MLN): Bank Makramah Limited (PSX: BML) has filed a settlement application before the relevant court today, seeking the recovery of non-performing loans (NPLs) owed by various companies of the Omni Group and its affiliated entities.

The settlement involves an amount of approximately Rs10 billion, which will now be recoverable under the agreed terms, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

In their Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) held on January 21, 2025, the TFC holders of Bank Makramah Limited (BML) decided to continue as TFC holders of the bank.

The Scheme of Arrangement for the restructuring of Bank Makramah Limited (BML) will proceed as already approved by the shareholders of BML.
