BISP payments being disbursed transparently

January 07, 2025 (MLN): The distribution of payments from the latest tranche of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is being conducted transparently, said Deputy Director Raazia Yasmin today.

She stated that a total of 173,272 beneficiaries in the district would receive payments of Rs10,500 each, as APP reported.

She added that 11 camp sites, including four in Sargodha, had been established to ensure a smooth disbursement process.

Raazia Yasmin emphasized that special counters had been arranged for pregnant and breastfeeding women to ensure they would not have to endure long queues.

She stressed that all payment disbursing personnel had been strictly instructed to distribute funds without making any deductions.

"Stern action will be taken against those involved in illegal deductions", she asserted.

She mentioned that she had been personally overseeing the payment disbursement process by staying in the field.

Women are encouraged to report agents who demand illegal deductions so that legal action can be taken against them, she concluded.
