Bank deposits surge by 16% YoY in October

November 11, 2022 (MLN): Bank deposits have increased by 16% YoY to Rs22.4 trillion as of October 2022 as compared to Rs19.3trn in the same period last year.

Accordingly, advances moved up by 18% YoY to clock in at Rs11.1trn as compared to Rs9.4trn during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Investments jumped by 33% YoY to Rs18.3trn as compared to Rs13.8trn in the same period last year.

The advanced deposit ratio stood at 49% in October 2022 showing an increase of 0.75% YoY while on monthly basis it inched up by 0.74% MoM.

Moreover, the investment Deposit Ratio clocked in at 82% on October 22 showing an increase of 1,027% YoY while on monthly basis it inched up by 497% MoM.
