Ahsan Iqbal directs to complete ongoing development projects without any delay

April 19 2022: Federal Minister of Planning Development & Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday directed to complete ongoing projects without any delay and sought progress on a daily basis while reviewing the progress of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects in his first meeting after taking charge of the ministry.

It is noted that Rs900 billion were allocated in the PSDP budget for the current fiscal year which was reduced to Rs600 billion by the previous government.

Secretary Ministry of Planning Commission Aziz Uqaili gave a briefing to the minister on PSDP projects and shared the utilization of the projects.

The minister expressed concern over the zero utilization of several projects and directed Secretary to explain the reasons for the delay.

The minister will hold an important meeting on Wednesday over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC.

He directed Secretary to give him a detailed briefing on CPEC which is a top priority of the minister.
