WAFI reappoints chairperson, CEO for three-year terms

June 17, 2026 (MLN): Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited (PSX:WAFI) has reappointed Ghassan Al Almoudi as Chairperson and Zubair Shaikh as Chief Executive Officer, each for a further three-year term effective June 16, 2026, ensuring continuity in the company's governance and strategic direction.

The board also inducted Waheed A. Shaikh and Habib Haider as directors, both bringing extensive experience in Pakistan's downstream petroleum sector across energy operations, retail fuels, corporate relations, strategic planning, and business transformation.

Alongside the leadership announcements, WAFI reported a profit after tax of Rs2.16 billion, a 2.5x surge from Rs873 million recorded in the corresponding period last year, said a press release issued.

Formerly known as Shell Pakistan Limited, WAFI is a publicly listed company majority-owned by Wafi Energy Holding Limited, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
