United Insurance resumes Guarantee Business operations

July 31, 2025 (MLN): The United Insurance Company of Pakistan Limited has officially resumed its guarantee business operations following a directive from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), which suspended the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s (SECP) earlier orders to halt such activities.

In compliance with the IHC’s July 28, 2025, order, the SECP withdrew its earlier press release related to the cessation of the company’s guarantee business and submitted a compliance report to the court on July 30, 2025.

The company is expected to issue a formal press release soon, reaffirming its commitment to continue serving its clients under the legal framework provided by the court’s decision.
