USA retains top spot as Pakistan’s leading export destination in September

October 20, 2025 (MLN):  U. S. A. remained the top export destination for Pakistan during September, with $530.44 million worth of shipments, up by 3.7% against the exports of $511.51m in same period last year.

According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, this was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $207.92m to the country as compared to the exports of $235.64m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a deline of 11.8%.

U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $188.62m from the country. This figure was down by 4.1% from the exports of $196.62m in the same period last year.

Spain was the fourth in line as exports to the region during the aforementioned period were $140.63m, depicting an increase of 14.4% YoY.

Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to the Germany stood at $140.04m, marking a drop of 0.5% YoY, while exports to Netherlands (Holland) increased by 14.5% YoY to $138.14m.

Moreover, the export receipts received from U. A. E. Dubai stood at $124.61m, down by 14.6% YoY.

While on a sequential basis, the total exports to U. S. A. increased by 6.8% MoM. While exports to China increased by 34.3% MoM.

Moreover, receipts received from exports to U. K. depicted an increase of 3.6% MoM.

Meanwhile, cumulatively, in 15MFY26, U. S. A. was the top source of export receipts, worth $1.64bn as against the total exports worth $1.46bn in 15MFY25.

Whereas, total exports to U. K. in 15MFY26 stood at $573.74m, registering an increase of 1.9%.

Cumulatively, China ranked as the third-largest contributor to the country's export earnings, accounting for exports valued at $562.39m in 15MFY26, compared to $559.08m in the same period last year.
