Trump reaffirms commitment to diplomatic Iran nuclear solution

June 13, 2025 (MLN): In a renewed push for diplomacy, President Donald Trump affirmed that the United States remains firmly dedicated to a peaceful resolution of the Iran nuclear issue.

Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that his entire administration has been tasked with engaging in negotiations with Tehran.

He emphasized, however, that any progress depends on Iran fully abandoning its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

"They could be a great country," Trump remarked, "but they first must completely give up hopes of obtaining a nuclear weapon."

The statement signals Washington’s continued preference for dialogue over confrontation, while reinforcing its firm stance against nuclear proliferation in the region.
