Tri-Pack Films turns to loss in first half

August 11, 2024 (MLN): Tri-Pack Films Limited (PSX: TRIPF) released
its financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2025, posting a loss
after tax of Rs468.2 million, compared to a profit of Rs55.84m in the same
period last year which shows an 8 times decline.
The company’s loss per share stood at Rs12.07, versus an EPS
of Rs1.44 in 1HF24.
Revenue from customers rose by 6% YoY to Rs14.51 billion,
from Rs13.70bn last year.
However, the cost of sales increased by 6% to Rs12.59bn,
resulting in a gross profit of Rs1.93bn, up 4% YoY.
Distribution costs surged by 27% to Rs551.55m, while
administrative expenses rose 10% to Rs391.24m.
Operating profit gained 4% to Rs956.26m and a 123% jump in
other income to Rs172.65m.
Finance costs increased by 89% YoY to Rs1.41bn, pushing the
company into a loss before tax of Rs287.98m, compared to a profit of Rs92.6m in
the prior year.
