Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Five ships, CSAV Tyndall, MSC Esths,Northern Monument, Adele Marina and Atlas with Containers, Diesel oil and Edible oil were arranged berthing at Containers Terminals, FOTCO OIL Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively during last 24 hours, said a report issued by Port Qasim Authority (PQA) here on Wednesday.

Meanwhile two more ships Euro Force and Spat Vega scheduled to load/offload condensate and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage

of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of eleven ships namely, CSAV Tyndall, MSC Esthi, Northern Monument, Spring Melody, Pacific Valour, Stahla, Al Marrouva, Ocean Princess, Dewi Sarabwati, Atlas and Adele Marina are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Been Seeds, Bitumen, Palm Kernel, Palm oil and Furnace oil respectively.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 159, 242 tonnes, comprising 145,524 tonnes import cargo and 13,718 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,76 containers (TEUs) (2,854 TEUs imports and 722 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.

Two ships, Gas carrier Al Marrouva and Container Vessel MSC Esthi sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while another ship Pacific Valor is expected to sail on same day.

Two ships, Rotany Bay and Sbi Leo carrying Containers and 64.542 tonnes Coal are expected to take berths at QICT and MW-4 respectively on Wednesday.
