Shams Textile to dispose of outdated machinery unit in Chiniot

October 29, 2025 (MLN): The Board of Directors of Shams Textile Mills Limited has approved the disposal of Machinery Unit No. 1 located in Chiniot, citing its outdated condition and lack of financial viability.

According to the company’s filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the unit comprises extremely old machinery, and mills of this vintage are no longer feasible to operate under current market and efficiency conditions.

The decision was made during the Board meeting held on October 29, 2025, as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to optimize operations and improve financial sustainability.

The company informed shareholders and market participants that the disposal aligns with its strategy to modernize production capacity and enhance operational efficiency.
