SNGP says recent payments from Power Division are routine bills

July 05, 2025 (MLN): Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (PSX: SNGP) on Friday clarified that recent payments received from the Power Division were part of its regular billing cycle, dismissing speculation on social media linking them to circular debt settlements.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company confirmed it received payments on June 26 and 27, 2025, covering invoices for April, May, and June 2025.

“These are routine business transactions,” SNGPL said, addressing various news items circulating across digital platforms.

The clarification came amid heightened market chatter around potential government moves to reduce the energy sector’s ballooning circular debt.
