SBP to release publication of biannual monetary policy reports

July 22,2025 (MLN): To improve transparency and support the shift toward an inflation targeting regime, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will begin publishing biannual Monetary Policy Reports (MPRs).

The first editions are scheduled for release within two weeks of the July and January Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meetings.

These reports will provide updated projections for key macroeconomic indicators and complement SBP’s existing monetary policy communications.

The move is part of SBP’s broader Strategic Plan Vision 2028 aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of monetary policy transmission by anchoring inflation expectations.
