RTO Hyderabad collects Rs29bn in first quarter of FY27

October 01, 2026 (MLN): Regional Tax Office (RTO) Hyderabad recorded provisional net collection of Rs28.788bn in the
first quarter (July-September) of FY27, up 18% from Rs24.373bn in the same
period of FY26.
In September 2026 alone, the office
collected a provisional net Rs12.009bn, compared with Rs10.093bn in September
last year, said a press release issued.
Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue
Sajjad Akber Khan praised the officers and staff for their dedication and
professionalism, and said he was confident the office would keep working to
raise revenue and improve tax compliance.
The details were shared by the RTO's
media coordinator.
Income tax made up the largest share
of the quarter's collection at Rs18.402bn, followed by sales tax at Rs9.760bn
and federal excise duty at Rs627mn.
Income tax grew 9% year-on-year, while
sales tax and federal excise duty each rose 37%.
