Power Cement partners with Burj Clean Energy for 7.5MW wind power project

September 26, 2025 (MLN): Power Cement Limited (PSX:POWER) has signed an agreement with Burj Clean Energy Modarabah (BCEM) to establish a 7.5-megawatt wind power project at its plant site.

BCEM has secured financing of Rs1.5 billion from a consortium of banks to fund the renewable energy initiative. The project is aimed at reducing POWER's energy costs while cutting reliance on fossil fuels, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

The company said the move is part of its long-term strategy to promote sustainability and environmentally responsible operations in Pakistan’s cement sector.
