June 20, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 120,023.23, showing an increase of 20.64 points or 0.02%.
The index traded in a range of 956.71 points showing an intraday high of 120,828.86 (+826.27) and a low of 119,872.15 (-130.44) points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 136.80 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies 47 closed up, 51 closed down, 1 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.
Top gainers during the day were YOUW (+5.80%), TPLRF1 (+5.08%), EFUG (+3.61%), IBFL (+3.42%), and MLCF (+2.40%).
On the other hand, top losers were PKGP (-10.00%), TRG (-8.28%), BNWM (-7.94%), MUGHAL (-6.88%), and PSEL (-4.80%).
In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were HUBC (+42.13pts), SYS (+34.42pts), UBL (+33.49pts), OGDC (+21.50pts), and MLCF (+19.11pts).
Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were PKGP (-60.75pts), TRG (-38.53pts), FFC (-25.38pts), PSEL (-24.55pts), and EFERT (-19.64pts).
Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Cement (+44.40pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+40.46pts), Commercial Banks (+21.12pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+15.56pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+15.03pts).
While the index was let down by Fertilizer (-47.80pts), Miscellaneous (-22.65pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-15.78pts), Technology & Communication (-11.59pts), and Leather & Tanneries (-10.72pts).
In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 74,956.94 with a net gain of 64.82 points or 0.09%.
Total market volume was 421.64 million shares compared to 604.54m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs15.65 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.79bn.
There were 233,957 trades reported in 468 companies with 178 closing up, 245 closing down, and 45 remaining unchanged.
