July 08, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 133,403.19, showing an increase of 33.05 points or 0.02%.

The index traded in a range of 1,503.92 points showing an intraday high of 134,200.27 (+830.13) and a low of 132,696.35 (-673.79) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 324.46 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 41 closed up, 57 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were BNWM (+10.00%), GADT (+7.23%), AKBL (+6.16%), PTC (+5.96%), and PIBTL (+5.10%).

On the other hand, top losers were FHAM (-2.83%), AVN (-1.90%), KTML (-1.84%), SCBPL (-1.51%), and INIL (-1.46%). 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were HMB (+66.56pts), AKBL (+52.94pts), MEBL (+51.33pts), INDU (+43.11pts), and MCB (+38.71pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-61.12pts), SYS (-41.48pts), EFERT (-35.78pts), MARI (-35.18pts), and HUBC (-34.49pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+215.79pts), Chemical (+38.75pts), Automobile Assembler (+30.37pts), Cement (+9.93pts), and Textile Spinning (+9.25pts).

While the index was let down by Fertilizer (-99.53pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-58.28pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-34.32pts), Pharmaceuticals (-27.42pts), and Technology & Communication (-26.39pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 83,188.05 with a net gain of 106.90 points or 0.13%.

Total market volume was 1,206.52 million shares compared to 919.18m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs42.03 billion showing a decrease of Rs3.25bn.

There were 463,354 trades reported in 479 companies with 216 closing up, 231 closing down, and 32 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 7,776 points or 6.19% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 18,276 points or 15.87% so far this calendar year.
