July 22, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 139,419.61, showing an increase of 1,202.03 points or 0.87%.

The index traded in a range of 1,703.96 points showing an intraday high of 139,901.77 (+1,684.19) and a low of 138,197.81 (-19.77) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 245.77 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 59 closed up, 39 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were HGFA (+10.04%), UPFL (+8.94%), ENGROH (+5.24%), EFERT (+4.51%), and HBL (+4.42%).

On the other hand, top losers were PSEL (-9.67%), PABC (-2.31%), GADT (-2.11%), KEL (-2.03%), and PGLC (-1.95%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+345.60pts), HBL (+196.95pts), FFC (+193.26pts), EFERT (+191.25pts), and OGDC (+117.55pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were UBL (-102.56pts), PSEL (-102.14pts), SYS (-51.02pts), BAHL (-50.98pts), and GLAXO (-15.61pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+391.40pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+357.34pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+316.98pts), Commercial Banks (+101.15pts), and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+43.18pts).

While the index was let down by Miscellaneous (-113.58pts), Pharmaceuticals (-17.83pts), Engineering (-8.19pts), Property (-4.99pts), and Glass & Ceramics (-3.17pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 85,866.78 with a net gain of 642.89 points or 0.75%.

Total market volume was 629.03 million shares compared to 608.19m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs34.68 billion showing an increase of Rs11.15bn.

There were 329,129 trades reported in 477 companies with 268 closing up, 177 closing down, and 32 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 13,792 points or 10.98% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 24,293 points or 21.10% so far this calendar year.
